Working with Type 2s:
Type 2s strive to make the world a more loving place by offering support and care to those who are important to them. They avoid feelings of being unworthy; however, their deep desire is to feel a sense of self-worth that is not dependent on how others respond. They want to be liked – especially by those in need or people who are important to them.
Are you a Type 2?
My coaching for Type 2 is focused on making sure their feelings of self-worth and appreciation are not dependent on how others respond to them. We work on acknowledging their own needs because they are often so focused on the needs of others. The challenge for you is to learn to express your own needs and allow space for your feelings to emerge. Self-compassion is as important as the compassion you show for others. When you feel underappreciated, you may begin to feel sad and emotional.
